Is Jordon Peterson Rudolf Steiner’s Modern Day Incarnation?

I’ve studied Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy, Anthroposophy for over ten years.* Although I am not what I would call a Steiner fundamentalist, adhering to everything he has said as dogma, I am very familiar with who he was as an individual, a thinker, a philosopher, and as a guiding light for humanity.

Rudolf Steiner was born to a gamekeeper turned telegraph operator and a housemaid in Austria, now part of Croatia. He studied a variety of subjects while at school including chemistry, physics, philosophy, and mathematics before working as an editor for a Goethe archive and beginning his writing career until he founded the Anthroposophical Society. He was an insightful historian with a multidimensional understanding of historical events and theosophy. He was a staunch believer in social reform that placed the innate power of humanity at the forefront. He was a seeker of truth and individual freedom and often spoke about the effects of technology and consumerism on the soul of human life. He was the Renaissance man of his time.

Steiner died in 1925 after giving a series of lectures on Christianity and its meaning to our greater human consciousness and the urgency of creating an honest and transparent society through what he called the Threefold Social Order. He wrote countless books on the history of our planet, society, agriculture, science, spirituality, education (Waldorf schools), and politics on which he also lectured. He was, as far as I’m concerned, one of the foremost thinkers of his time, and much of his work is still relevant today. Steiner and his cohorts were lambasted by the German and British governments and ultimately banished from mainstream society. I am going to guess it was the truth that he spoke and his ability to capture an audience with his thoughtful intellect that challenged the propaganda and insidious political ambitions at the time that resulted in his character assassination and relegation to more obscure corners of society.

Steiner fell ill at 64 and died from physical ailments that some claimed were the result of poisoning. We’ll leave that to conspiracy theory as only those who were alive then would know the truth of what occurred.

Fast forward 37 years and Jordon Peterson was born in a small town in Canada to modest parents who worked in the education field. He is an unassuming man from the middle of nowhere who spent his days as a university lecturer and studied the effects of totalitarianism in his spare time. A fitting hobby that sets him apart from the prominent political dogma of many university lecturers and intellectuals of our time. He is an enlightened individual who is well-versed in philosophy, psychology, history, politics, socioeconomics, Christianity, and education that can capture an audience with his thoughtful intellect and sit with naysayers and leave them paralyzed by his replies. It’s no wonder he is one of the foremost if not the foremost thinker of our time. Add to this how greatly he has been lambasted by the legacy media and the continuous attempts to skew and discredit his claims and banish him to an obscure and often fabricated pigeonhole of far-right extremism.

If Dr. Peterson isn’t the reincarnation of Rudolf Steiner, he is certainly a soul that is greatly needed within our increasingly corrupt society. My only concern is, like any individual in the limelight who must utilize the talents of others, he is not corrupted by his own bias or others’ self-interests.

*Beware of where you seek the definition and description for Anthroposophy as some common online sources have provided false information or have misinterpreted Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy.
