There must be a tinge of masochism in individuals who are attracted to the film business. Maybe it's just a job hazard like everywhere else we choose to work. I'm a preschool teacher and help children with toileting, boogers, and temper tantrums, but I revel in their silliness and curiosity. In fact, helping kids resolve conflict is my favorite part of my job. Perhaps it's less masochism and more of a savior complex?
